Privacy Policy
Edspress provides teacher-facing software for creating, organizing, and publishing instructional materials. This Privacy Policy explains what information Edspress collects, how Edspress uses it, and the choices available to teachers, schools, and other users of the service.
Edspress is committed to handling educational data conservatively. The service is designed to support teachers first, minimize student-linked data, and keep privacy expectations clear.
Information We Collect
Edspress may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information such as name, email address, sign-in method, school affiliation, and basic profile details.
- Workspace content such as prompts, lesson materials, generated drafts, settings, and teacher-uploaded files.
- Usage information such as feature interactions, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and security events needed to operate and protect the service.
- Connected-service data made available through integrations you authorize, such as Google account identity, classroom context, and files or metadata required to complete requested actions.
How We Use Information
Edspress uses information to:
- provide and secure the service;
- authenticate users and maintain sessions;
- generate, adapt, organize, and publish teaching materials at the teacher's direction;
- support onboarding, customer support, troubleshooting, and product improvement;
- meet contractual, legal, security, and compliance obligations where they apply.
Teacher-Facing Service and Student Data Minimization
Edspress is a teacher-facing service. The product is intended for educators and school staff, not for direct student sign-up. Edspress is built to minimize student-linked data and to avoid collecting more student information than is needed to provide requested teacher workflows.
If a school authorizes Edspress for classroom use, Edspress processes school-related data only to deliver the educational service requested by that school or teacher. Edspress does not use student-linked data to build unrelated consumer profiles.
Connected Services and School Data
When you connect a third-party service such as Google Classroom or Google Workspace, Edspress accesses only the data reasonably needed to provide the requested workflow. Permissions granted to Edspress remain subject to the third-party provider's terms and your organization's configuration.
Schools and districts may require additional documentation, including data processing terms, before rollout. Edspress may provide those materials separately for institutional deployments.
Data Retention and Security
Edspress retains information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and whether a school or district agreement applies.
Edspress uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system can guarantee absolute security, but Edspress works to limit access, protect credentials, and reduce unnecessary data exposure.
Delete Your Information
You may request deletion of account or workspace information by contacting Edspress at hello@edspress.com. Edspress will review deletion requests in light of technical requirements, school obligations, security needs, and applicable law.
If you access Edspress through a school or district deployment, your organization may need to submit or approve certain privacy or deletion requests on your behalf.
No Sale of Personal Information
Edspress does not sell personal information. Edspress does not rent personal information to data brokers or use educational workspace data for unrelated advertising marketplaces.
Policy Updates and Contact
Edspress may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operational practices. When material changes are made, Edspress will update the effective date on this page.
